Sump, Sewage & Storm System Inspections
Your sump and sewage pumps play a vital role in the operation of your building. Due to the fact that these pumps are often located in parkades or storage rooms they are often neglected until they suffer a failure. In order to offer some protection against this, James Electric provides a yearly sump and sewage pump inspection and report.
At your request we will send a service technician to site to perform the following inspection:
- Visual inspection of the pumps, motors (where applicable) and controls
- Photograph pumps, controls and pit
- Inspect all piping and connections for erosion/corrosion
- Megger pumps and evaluate the control circuit wiring to determine if the pumps are grounded or low to ground
- Record the full load current rating of each pump and the actual running amperage of each pump
- Test the alarm circuit (if applicable)
- Inspect and test the operation of each pump assembly
- Inspect and test the operation of each float
- Check the pump contactors for contact wear (if applicable)
- Test the operation of the alternating relay
- Check all panel lights to ensure that they are operational
- Tighten all electrical connections
